NEW! – Taste of Elegance Competition
All new to the Michigan Restaurant Show Floor this year is the Taste of Elegance Competition hosted in partnership with the Michigan Pork Producers Association. The Michigan Taste of Elegance is an annual chef's competition designed to encourage chefs to creatively prepare and feature fresh PORK on their restaurant, noncommercial foodservice or catering menus.
Would you like to highlight your restaurant, or food service company and your culinary pork expertise? Then apply to participate in Michigan’s annual Taste of Elegance!
The purpose of this contest is to provide chefs with an opportunity to create a new, award-winning, pork entree that could be added to their menu. The chef exhibiting the best entree judged on taste, appearance, and originality will be awarded $1,000 and the opportunity to participate in the National Pork Summit, a networking educational trip highlighting the pork industry. We believe participation would be beneficial to you since the contest provides local, state and national publicity.
There are accommodations for 15 restaurants in this competition. Please review the guidelines and complete the registration form. No entry fee is required; however, your application and website will be review prior to selection. All chefs that apply will be notified by October 1, 2018.
1st place -$1000
2nd place - $500
3rd place - $250
People's Choice - Award recognition
