Kristi Carlson is the author of “Eat Like A Gilmore: the Unofficial Cookbook for Fans of Gilmore Girls”. Kitchen-trained by her grandmother, Lottie, Kristi has continued to cook, bake and create recipes since she was a kid, mostly in her spare time. Aside from a few restaurant jobs during her teen years, Kristi’s work for the past 20+ years has been focused on business and finance. She’s worked for multiple Fortune 500 companies as a corporate trainer, a licensed stock broker and a regional retail executive.
In 2015 Kristi took a leap of faith, and left her 9-to-5 career to reset her life’s priorities. A few weeks later, the idea to make the cookbook came to her. The project perfectly combined her love of cooking with her Gilmore Girls fanaticism.
Since then, Kristi and the cookbook have been featured by multiple national press outlets, such as People.com, TeenVogue.com, the New York Times, EntertainmentWeekly.com, FoodandWine.com, and many others. In July 2017 “Eat Like A Gilmore” reached #1 of all books on Amazon.com.
A Michigan native, Kristi and her family moved to California during her early teens. She now resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband, Tim, their dog, and two orange cats.
